Counselor

Welcome! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and the owner of Bluffton Okatie Counseling Center, LLC. I am certified in EMDR therapy with additional training in attachment trauma and preverbal trauma. I have a heart for people of any age wanting to resolve symptoms of trauma. I have extensive training and experience working with adopted adults and children, birthmothers, and adoptive/foster/kinship parents. I am a graduate of the accredited Training for Adoption Competency.

I am a mother and stepmother and I understand the challenges of blended and non-traditional families. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England and my bachelor’s degree from California State University Long Beach. I can also provide services to clients seeking Christian faith-based counseling.

I am an approved LISW-CP Supervisor and am currently available to provide supervision for LMSW’s in South Carolina.
