Hevylla is a Licensed Master Social Worker in both South Carolina and Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Penn State University and graduated with honors with her Master of Science in Clinical and Administrative Social Work from Savannah State University. Hevylla has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
Hevylla has worked with victims of domestic violence and their children. Hevylla has experience helping clients struggling with substance abuse, suicidal and homicidal ideation, non-suicidal self-harming behaviors, feeding and eating disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders, anger issues, neurodevelopmental disorders and substance induced neurocognitive disorders. Hevylla has experience counseling LGBTQ clients and their families.
Hevylla was adopted by a culturally diverse family and is very comfortable assisting families facing parental role transitions and overcoming cultural barriers. Hevylla is also multilingual and qualified to provide services in both English and Portuguese.
