Counselor
I am a National Board Certified Counselor and an LPC-A in South Carolina. Changing careers from teaching Middle School has brought me to launching my dream of helping people through counseling. I use my analytical skills and professional training to help people of all ages with emotional and behavioral challenges including Trauma and Stress-induced conditions, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, ODD, and Relationship conflicts. I am here to help you sort through what has happened to you, what choices you have made and the ones you may need to make, and to partner with you in doing and being your best in life. I see counseling as potentially relevant to the core of your very life, which is why I love continuously learning and creating while accessing evidence-based information regarding your well-being. I am here to serve you in a part of your journey, however small or large.
I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and maintain membership in the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society; I am a member of the Christian Mental Health Network. I am certified in Trauma-focused CBT and am trained as an Anger Management Treatment Professional. In my spare time I enjoy reading classic literature, pursuing physical fitness, playing Frisbee and paddle ball on the beach, and most things outdoors while spending time with family and friends. I have 8 nieces and nephews and 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren, the latter of whom I fly away to be with in Washington state multiple times a year, along with my husband of 32 years.
